The peregrine falcon has just risen off her shoulder, perhaps they have sighted something of interest. The birds in the tree are rock doves, the origin of our '  est' pigeons. They're included as a comment. I don't have time to write it though  And I don't think I want to anyway. And thanks to *Future-Art-Magazine for giving me incentive to finally finish this. Sometimes I just need a good push to tie up loose ends I honestly could have dragged this out for a few more months, but it was just selfishness on my part that it took so long. I LOVED painting this. I hate finishing it. It was started about a year ago, and has been my boon companion through some stressful times. I need to start another boon companion I guess. Daily DeviationGiven 2007-11-11Artemis by *MBoulad is what the artist describes as a "boon companion". Taking over a year to complete, this gorgeous fantasy painting will do more than get the artist through hard times, but the viewer as well. So much hope is shining through the faces of the subjects. And beyond the emotional draw of this piece, the technicalities are perfection itself. So much gorgeous texture detail! I nearly fainted at the sight of those picture perfect clouds. Each leaf was lovingly painted, every fold in the goddess' robe handcrafted, every hair on each animal and the scrollwork on the bow bespeak passion and professionalism.
