I started painting this as a doodle months ago. It grew and grew...I ended up working on it off and on (more off than on lol!), and finally finished it tonight.
Old man willow waits for Tom Bombadil, keeping gaurd over Goldberrys water lilies.
Toucha da lilies, you loosa ya face, he says.

A nice bit of verse about Old Man Willow from ~Yensil
"Old Man Willow is a nasty old shoot.
He's a gnarled and withered old coot.
He'll lull you to sleep
And strangle you deep,
Deep in his tangled old roots."
Just in case you think this looks like a nice peaceful place to sit and dangle your feet in the water...consider yourself forewarned
